Maritime & Aviation Solutions

The expansion of emissions regulation to transport and aviation is transforming compliance requirements.

Shipping

From 2024, the EU ETS includes maritime emissions, with operators required to surrender allowances for a growing share of their CO₂ output (40 % in 2024, 70 % in 2025 and 100 % from 2026).

Drawing on existing relationships in the shipping sector, AEM can broker EUAs for shipowners, charterers and logistics firms, providing access to liquid EUA markets and transparent execution support.

AEM connects clients with a network of physical bio-marine bunkering suppliers to help navigate evolving marine compliance requirements.

Fuel EU Maritime

This regulation introduces greenhouse-gas intensity targets for marine fuels and allows pooling arrangements for companies with surplus compliance.

Through our network, AEM connects clients seeking to monetise surplus Fuel EU credits or offset deficits via structured pooling solutions.

Aviation & CORSIA

Airlines and operators participating in CORSIA (the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation) must offset growth in emissions using approved carbon credits.

AEM can broker CORSIA-eligible offsets and facilitate access to active international counterparties.

Renewable Gas & Fuel Credits

AEM provides market access across a range of renewable gas and fuel certificate markets - enabling clients to trade, source, or monetise environmental value efficiently. Our coverage includes: - Biomethane Certificates & Proof of Sustainability - representing renewable natural gas derived from upgraded biogas, traded through physical and book-and-claim structures. - Guarantees of Origin (GoOs) & Renewable Gas Guarantees of Origin (RGGOs) - certificates evidencing production of renewable electricity or gas. - Renewable Identification Numbers (RINs) - US-based D4 (advanced biodiesel) and D6 (corn ethanol) credits under the Renewable Fuel Standard.

Our role

We connect producers, traders and obligated parties through live voice markets, ensuring price transparency and reliable execution. Whilst also providing indicative pricing, regulatory updates, and transaction support focused on efficient deal completion.

Voluntary Carbon Credits (VCM)

The voluntary carbon market allows companies to offset emissions and support high-impact climate projects. AEM facilitates trades across leading registries and standards, including VCS (Verra), ACR (American Carbon Registry), CAR (Climate Action Reserve), and CORSIA-eligible credits.

Our services

- Market access & execution - OTC broking of verified carbon credits across all project types (forestry, renewable energy, technology-based removals, blue carbon, and more). - Portfolio building - we connect clients to high-integrity, verified credits aligned with specific sustainability goals. - Transparency & liquidity – AEM provides indicative market data and price discovery to help clients transact with confidence. We focus purely on execution - giving clients direct access to liquidity and trusted counterparties across the global voluntary carbon landscape
